Default C-Topology in ICEM CFD

Hi All,

Does anybody know how to create a c-topology block structured mesh in ICEM CFD?

I am trying to mesh a sharp-edged airfoil with a multiblock structured grid. In this case the o-topology is inappropriate.

Can somebody help?

Thanks

Wilson, One way would be to create a c-block, cut it near the trailing edge, and manually collapse the blocks from the TE to the outlet.

Hi,

The best way to create a c-Topology is, while selecting the blocks for the o-grid select the blocks which form the wake of the airfoil so that the ogrid will propagate upto the farfield and since the ogrid cant be formed after the farfield it will stop there and u will get a c-Topology.

if u select only the blocks that represents the airfoil then u will end up with a ogrid
