Instantaneous pressure and temperature

Hi, I'm trying to model IC engine combustion in CFX. I'm trying to specify a variable Heat Transfer Coefficient, and for that I need to get instantaneous pressure and temperature in the model to use in the expression for evaluating HTC. Is there any means by which I can use the instantaneous pressure and temperature at any point in the model during the simulation, to use in the expression for evaluating HTC. Thank You.

Re: Instantaneous pressure and temperature

Hi,

You can introduce a user expression which can be a function of any variable.

e.g

h = 10000[W/(m^2*K)] + 100[W/(m^2*K^2)]*T + 10[W/(m^2*K*Pa)]*p

where T and p are the standard names for temperature and pressure used by CFX. Then you define your define your heat transfer coefficient to be h at the wall.
