aspect ratio?

Default aspect ratio?

Hi all,

i'm still confuse on aspect ratio defination. In few publised papers define the aspect ratio as (Height/width) but in other paper used hydraulic (diameter/channel lenght). So which one is the correct one?

Hi,

You can define it to be whatever is relevant to your situation. As you have noticed, when a paper talks about aspect ratio you have to be careful to understand exactly how they have defined it as it varies between authors.

I used to use Height/width or (H/L).
