CHT in porous domain?

Hi all,

I am working with porous material and heat conduction in it. But I find CFX can not do such a job. When come to energy equation in porous domain only gas part is involved in. So I want to add solid heat conduction part in its heat source term.

But another problem rises up. How can I realize the second derivative of T in fortran subroutines. Any comment will be appreciated.

Re: CHT in porous domain?

Hi Frank,

Instead of doing this through user fortran, create an additional variable for your porous CHT temperature and solve it within the porous domain using the "Diffusion Equation" option. You can then add a volumetric source/sink pair between the fluid temperature and your AV to represent the volumetric heat transfer within the porous region.
