Re: Ansys CFD on vista64

Hi,

Vista 64 bit is a supported platform so there should be no need to change OS. Check you graphics card has current drivers on it. I assume the graphics card supports OpenGL, it is hard to find cards which don't these days.

If nothing works try using some off the other display options (for instance you can turn OpenGL off and just use CPU rendering). How to do this is in the manual.

Glenn,

I thought Vista support was only a beta feature.

Hi,

No, Windows Vista has been fully supported in ANSYS and CFX since V11 sp1.

Re: Ansys CFD on vista64 -- NOT SUPPORTED

No, VISTA is NOT supported, but will be at version 12. Go with XP64.

Re: Ansys CFD on vista64 -- NOT SUPPORTED

Hi,

Here is ANSYS's page on it.

http://www.ansys.com/services/ss-110...rm-support.pdf

It says it is a supported platform from V11sp1 but the note says the support is at beta level only. That is a bit contradictory really.

Regards, Glenn
