mesh motion

I have fluid in a channel. The no-slip bottom wall has a travelling acoustic wave on its surface that induces a pressure variation in the liquid above.

What would be the best way to apply mesh motion to simulate the above case. As I understand I cannot apply an out of plane velocity component for the bottom of the channel without mesh deformation.

Activating or deactivating mesh deformation seems to have no effect for me. Any ideas?

Cheers Mark

Re: mesh motion

Hi,

If the motion is tangential to the surface it can be done as a wall velocity and no need for mesh motion. If there is any normal motion of the wall you need to use mesh motion.
