Problem in Initializing Blocking for 2d geometry
hello, i am getting problem in initializing block for 2d geometry which is very simple geometry. geometry consist of a one step tank shape either it is going upward or downward.
dimensions are as follows: total length of tank 1 m. after .5 m one step is there in tank, so that i can study jump, for the remaining length. please anybody tell, why i am facing difficulty, please try and solve it as soon as possible. thanks.. |
Re: Problem in Initializing Blocking for 2d geomet
does the block does not initialize or whats the problem? could you explain a bit more

Re: Problem in Initializing Blocking for 2d geomet
plese don't post any answer, i have solved this problem.
thanks to all. |
Re: Problem in Initializing Blocking for 2d geomet
Dear Mr. Nitin, i sent the mesh for you and the block for you. BUT, i did choose any lenght to your geometry. To make the geometry, use SolidWorks 2008 software. Itīs a good tool to build the geometry, instead of using the "CAD" tool within the ICEM CFD.

Re: Problem in Initializing Blocking for 2d geomet
thanks Mr. Rogerio..
i can use solid works but again same thing is that, i will have to learn that software. i am now used to of ICEM, and can make any type of geometry, so its better to go with ICEM. i have to finish my project work in 1 year only. thanks |
Re: Problem in Initializing Blocking for 2d geomet
the cad tool of the icem cfd itīs very boreing to make the geometry. U can make the geometry in solidworks, save as "name.step" file and import in ICEM CFD.

Re: Problem in Initializing Blocking for 2d geomet
isn't this a loss of time..
making geometry and exporting to ICEM, when ansys has facility to make geometry through ICEM , so why shouldn't we use this. thanks rogerio... |
