Hi every body? i have to generate a mesh from Ansys ICEM-CFD in 2-D and i want to forward it to Fluent version 6 but the mesh check field in Ansys gives me ( single edge)error how to solve this error because it make problems when translate it to fluent. could anyone help me???????? thanks for advance

If you are talking about a 2D (i.e. planar) surface mesh - then you would expect to have single edges. The bounding surface elements will have no neighbor on the outside. This is just fine. If you're talking about a box - but only the surface mesh - then this is a problem...
For an 'open' surface mesh - make sure you have bar/line elements all around the surface (project to bounding curves). These line elements will be placed into the specific 'parts' on which to assign boundary conditions. These missing line elements on the boundaries are more likely the cause of the trouble importing to Fluent. |

yes my case is a 2-d plannr project ( surface mesh) with no boxes so i will try to do the elements after that define the BC for each then i will see if it will be ok of not thanks so much
