specifying tip clearance at the shroud
 
Hi i am currently trying to create a simulation of a CPU FAN and i have the blade geometry and the mesh made. i am wondering what is the correct way of specifying a tip clearacne at the shroud? because i am currently trying to specyfy a "shroud tip" in Turbogrid aswell as cfx-pre many thanx

Hi

In turbogrid u can double click on shroud tip and specify the clearance as say constant span and enter the dimension. In CFX you should select Shroud clearance and set the shroud as counter rotating wall.
