hello

Is there any effect of the reference pressure(to be given while giving boundary conditions in CFX)on convergence ?

Hi,

Yes, sometimes. A well-chosen reference pressure reduces numerical round-off errors which will lead to improved convergence. For many simulation this is not an important factor, but for a small number of simulations it is important.

An example where it would be important is a flow with a high pressure expanding into a low pressure region. If the reference pressure is set to the low pressure then it should work OK. If set to the high pressure you will get increased round-off errors and possibly less numerical stability.
