Fluids list in multiphase flow problem
I read ANSYS guidelines and I'm a bit confused. I would like to have water droplets flowing in saturated steam. The geometry is simple; vertical pipe and upward flow. I tried to choose steam5l and steam5v in Fluids list, but never get it to solve. When I chose only steam5vl, it's solved. Is the latter multiphase flow?
In the former situation, how can I get it solved? There are some error messages: 1st error message: While evaluating Steam5l.Local Speed of Sound, Static Pressure went outside of its upper limit. Its maximum value was 7.1391E+07. The bounds error was handled by clipping. If this situation persists, consider increasing the table range. I tried to check "extrapolation" boxed for both temperature and pressure, but it didn't help; the error message is still there. 2nd error message: A wall has been placed at portion(s) of an OUTLET boundary condition (at 21.4% of the faces, 16.0% of the area) to prevent fluid from flowing into the domain. The boundary condition name is: Out. The fluid name is: Steam5v. If this situation persists, consider switching to an Opening type boundary condition instead I tried to change "outlet" to "opening", but got this error message: ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. Message: The solver does not support combining Opening Pressure with Static Temperature or vice versa on openings for real gases Thanks, |
Re: Fluids list in multiphase flow problem
Yes, it is multiphase flow. Ignore the 2nd message (it's not an error) and use the outlet bc.
