Default ANSYS mesh

Hi all,

My mesh in ANSYS simulation is constructed with "sweep" and "hex dominant" methods. When I inserted a refinement for the hex dominant body, the whole mesh changed to tetrahedral elements. Why is that the case? How can I make it so I make a finer mesh in that part, without effecting the mesh on the other parts of the geometry?

Thanks CC
