Default Ploting pressure in line for transient simulation

Hy there,

I did some transient simulation and I want to plot the pressure distribution in a line location for each time in a cicle. Is it possible in CFX-Post? If not, how can I save the data in my chart as a xls or txt file?

Thanks in advance

Yes, it is possible. All you have to do is to load one of the transient results file and create the line (with pressure distribution). Then without closing this file, load other transient results one by one. You should see the pressure distribution on the line for each result file.

Mr. Assudani, I think that Mr. Lopese is trying to plot all of the transient pressure results in time. Something like a surface, with pressure x position x time. Isn't in? I have the same doubt about exporting data from CFX. Can somebody help us?

Okay...This is how you can export the data..

1) Create the line location with pressure contours. 2) Click on File > Export. 3) Under locations, select the line that you created in step1. 4) Check box for Export geometry information. 5) Under select variables, select Pressure if that's what you want to plot. 6) Click Save.

This should save the data in excel spreadsheet.

Hope this helps!

Mr Assudani, thank you for your advice... but in this case, there is no way to save the values for each step all together. That is what i need. Does anybody now how to do that?

Thanks

I think the only way to do that would be to write a PERL script which loops all the time steps and exports the data into separate files. You can then import all these files in excel.

Ok, I will try. I don`t know so much about PERL scripts. But thank you!
