material property in steady state CHT simulation

HI

iam doing a steady state CHT simulation, i know the thermal conductivity of the one of the solid but i dont the other properties, i know that in steady state solution only thermal conductivity is sufficient, but when we are intializing a new material in CFX, there we have to give all the properties like density, molar mass, specific heat etc, if i give the random values for density and specific heat, will it show any effect in my simulation.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Yes, the values of density and Cp will affect convergence. Best to use values close to the true values as then the time scales the simulation uses will be physically sensible.
