Another question: I want to get the step-by-step meshing tutorial of ICEM. But it seems that there is no such tutorial on this website. I still have trouble to figure out how to mesh the geometry using ICEM.

Hi Guys,
I am a beginner in CFD . I have created a 2D geometry in ICEM CFD and am about to create the 3 D geometry. Honestly I do not know how to start it. Is it possible to convert the 2D geometry to 3D geometry? if yes, please could some one explain the steps to convert the 2D to 3D geometry.
I lok forward to heaing from you guys.
Thanks
Izu

You take your 2D geometry and extrude or rotate it to create a 3D geometry. You can do this to both the geometry and the mesh in ICEM. Very simple.

Hi,
I am so grateful for your response to my plight. One more thing, please could you break down the steps to extrude 2D geometry to 3D geometry.
Thanks in anticipation.

This is basic meshing operations. Have a look at the tutorial examples for your meshing software. If you are using ICEM they are available on the ANSYS community website.
