How can we apply negative heat flux on a wall boundary in CFX?

You can set lower environment temperature to let heat flow out of the wall boundary... Wish help...

Thanks Rikio. The temperature at the boundary in question is not uniform. Therefore, applying a convective heat transfer coefficient in conjunction with a lower environment temperature would not ensure the flux value that I want to apply. I have tried applying a negative heat flux, but it results in non-physical results. In a software like CFX, there must be a way to apply negative flux. I would appreciate any suggestions from some experienced user.

Hi,

CFX can handle negative heat fluxes just as well as positive ones. Sounds like you either have an inaccurate simulation or the negative heat flux you applied is non-physical.
