Default heat flux is found to be zero!

Dear friends, I was solving an external flow problem using CFX. The body was subjected to hypersonic flow (M=6). Results were converged. I assumed body surface as adiabatic wall. I could see the temperature distribution over the surface of the body but heat flux was found to be zero over the surface. I could not make out the mistake. Kindly suggest me. As it was the first trial, I used coarse mesh. But i am feeling that it should have shown atleast some variation in the heat flux. It was completely zero. Thank you.

I hope I haven't misunderstood your post but if the heat flux is zero in your surface, most likely it's because you've set as Adiabatic.

Regards.

Are you running a heat transfer problem? Unless the model was set up to run heat transfer it can't calculate a heat flux through a surface.

adiabatic = no heat flux over system boundaries

Yes, I am running into the same problem. My FLUENT mesh is symmetric on the north, south walls which is the same meshed wall. The north wall is fine, but the south has heat flux at zero. The walls are not adiabatic. So, I am still looking for the problem.
