How simulate a fine screen

Hi friends,

i am new in the CFX modeling, i need modeling the flow through a fine screen with a flow area of 1 mm^2 spaced at 1 mm. i can't simulate because the density of elements is high (for a 100x100mmmm screen).

Any know a trick to solve this problem?

Hi,

Use a 3D subdomain specified as a porous region. In CFX V12 you will be able to put a 2D surface with a resistance on it (I think as part of a interface).

Hi,

Subdomains are usually only used to specify regions for either porous regions or initial conditions.
