Default Use of CFX in Turbomachinery design

We are using CFX in steam turbine design. Does any have hands on experience in this field, So that they can help me in this regard. We have couple of queries. Is the wet steam modle is well validated for the LP flow in Steam Turbine, Where the steam in wet steam condition. If yes what is the error of percentage of approximation of CFX results to experimental results. Is there any specific model should be used to calculate the efficieny of Steam Turbne. Is standard k-e model is sufficient to run the Steam Turbine problem. Please reply me if you know any information about above queries. Thanks in Advance.

HI,
Actually your simulation is wet condition, take example settings of material selection Steam3L, Steam3V and Steam3VL were right. It is interesting to put these materials again and to execute the calculation.in that you should give dryness fraction in main domain,
2)give wall is rotating (rotating wall or counter rotating wall)
3)periodicity rotation in that should give rotational speed of blade
4) roughness value and smoth ness value

Hi,

In CFX V12 (to be released very soon I am assured!) there is a new tutorial example simulation of wet steam flow in a turbine with equilibrium and non-equilibrium phase change. You will probably find this a very useful reference.
