Need help with mesh in icem

Hello,

I’m new in cfd and I have few questions. I make project and I need some advice, I have to create mesh in ansys icem on part turbine vane and space around it. I want to create 2d mesh and extract it along curve. Is it good idea and what Is the best method to create fine mash with boundary layers and y+<1 or y+=1, because I will use SST turbulence model?

Help me please and thanks .

Hi Twix,

wat type of mesh r u interested in? normally ur Y plus depends on ur reynolds number of the flow, but it is a good pratice have a near wall distance of 0.0001 and growth ratio of 1.3.

if u r working with HEX u can very well do it by changing the spacing in EDGE PARAMETERS.

if u r working with TET mesh then u need to go for prism layers.

regards
Siva.
