Please help, Error: No FSIN boundary conditions defined in the model.

Hi,

I am trying to run ansys cfx in a script file (or batch file) at a command line. This is a FSI problem. The line i used to run cfx and ansys is as follows:

cfx5solve -double -def flagwithoutpoleU8.def -ansys-input FSIU8.inp

this line launches both ANSYS and CFX Solvers, starting from the definition file flagwithoutpoleU8.def and using the ANSYS input file FSIU8.inp. I got that line from the Ansys cfx help manual.

But for some reason I am getting the error message as shows below:

ADDITIONAL SYNCHRONIZATION FOR CFX:

SECOND SYNCHRONIZATION POINT OF MASTER CODE:
GET INTERFACE MESHES, INITAIL VALUES, and RESTART LOADS

*** ERROR *** CP = 0.140 TIME= 19:11:26
No FSIN boundary conditions defined in the model.

I don't understand why am getting this error message. The FSIN boundary condition was properly defined in cfxpre with the Ansys input file filepath correctly chosen. The .def file was then written.

However when run i am getting the error message above. Can anybody please help me. I really need to figure this out urgently.

The best way to is to check your file FSIU8.inp carefully for the FSIN string. You can search for a line like SF,all,FSIN,1 in this input file.
