Hi,

What are you processing? Geometry or mesh? Generally, you have to align blades and shroud in CAD system.
And what type of simulation? Steady or transient? As you said, the shell is not completely circular. Is it supposed to be this? For steady, it is not important to align a certain blade to the non-circular edge. But it does matter in a transient analysis.

thanks for reply
i modeled blade & shell in catia.my process is in mesh & i intend to do transient simulation.how i can mesh assmbly of blade &shell so that their meshes be in different type????

best reagrd

Mesh in different types? Do you mean one part in hex, and another in tetra?
In addition ,what do you mean shell? The shroud of the wheel?

shell mean spiral chamber that blades rotate inside it.

thanks,rikio
