Tutorial 17: Unable to run the simulation

Dear all,
I would be most grateful if anyone could help me with this problem:

I am working on tutorial 17: Air conditioning simulation. I follow all the instructions in this tutorial, but when I start run the simulation I got error message (Error message number: 001100279) the message says: unable to find library winnt/TStat_Control.dll on path.........(my working directory). Then under problem report, the message says: “USER ROUTINE: Thermostat Routine could not be loaded. Please check the Library Path, Library Name and Calling Name. For FORTRAN user routines, the Calling Name should be in lower case”. I check the library path, library name and calling name (the calling name is in lower case) and everything seems ok. Note than I have copied the subroutine TStat_Control.F to my working directory. Also, I’d like you to know that I have Salford Fortran (FTN95) compiler installed in my PC.

I think that I once heard no space and that "-" is bad choice when giving names.

Hi,

Chilli means that you should select a file name without special characters (-, _, & etc). Change the file name to TStatControl.F or something like that.

Also your fortran compiler is not the supported one. If you use a non-supported compiler then you can get weird errors so I recommend you change to the supported compiler.

Thanks for your reply and help. It means that when I copy the file (TStat_Control.F) from the ANSYS example, I paste it in my working directory without underscore (TStatControl.F). Another thing, would you please tell me which Fortran compiler should be installed in my system?

Hi Sir,

take a look on my simulation. Are you using Intel Fortran 9.0/9.1 as your FORTRAN compilar. Good lucky Sir.

Thank you so much for your support. Currently, I’m downloading your files.
Unfortunately, I am not using Intel Fortran 9.0/9.1. The one installed on my system is Salford Fortran (FTN95) compiler. Do I have to have the former one installed on my system in order to run the simulation?
