Not sure exactly what is wrong here since you don't give much detail. I use icem to write out a cfx5 file which I can then import into CFX-Pre using Import Mesh. You have to change the file type to cfx5 when you do the import so that it can recognize your mesh.

Are you getting some sort of error message when you do this?

cfx icemcfd meshing turbomachinery

thanks for response.
i am using the icem cfd as i created the mesh and i saved it in *.uns form so there is no file is generated in *.cfx *.mesh form. there is only *.uns file is created. i may be making some mistake in saving in icemcfd. so that tell me in which form i should save the mesh. please go thruogh the icem cfd and make sure whether i am right or wrong.
thanks

After you finish making your mesh, click the Output tab above the display window, click on the tool box icon (Select solver) underneath the Output tab (far left icon) and set the Output Solver to ANSYS CFX and click OK. Next click the icon with a disk and a mesh (Write input) underneath the Output tab (far right icon) and set the Output CFX5 file name. Since you selected the solver as ANSYS CFX it will write a .cfx5 file which can then be imported into CFX Pre.
