Slip flow condition in a microchannel

Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to put the condition of slip flow near the wall in a microchannel. I know that it's possible to put free slip and no-slip condition, but I would like to know if I can put, like a boundary condition, a velocity profile of slip flow.

The Ansys CFX software can calculate a slip flow velocity profile? How?

Thank you,

Itzal

Hi,

If you can work the wall shear stress out from the local variable field then you should be able to impose a partial slip boundary. (I think, haven't thought it out completely but that is how you would do it.)
