Weir Flow Separation

Hi all,

I am having trouble trying to get the flow to separate from the crest of a weir. I have tried many cases (homogeneous free surface, homogeneous mixture, inhomogeneous with water as the continous and air as the dispersed fluids), but the only way I have been able to obtain the nappe shape I expect is by putting an outlet near the area of negative pressure.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the turbulent air entrainment for the separated flow? I imagine I need to be modelling an inhomogeneous free surface model.

Thanks
Chet
