Hello all, I'm not sure if this is a CFX related issue or paraview, but here goes: I'm attempting to import a CFX export into paraview. There's a rotating part and stationary part and the total length is 50 frames.
For some reason, when examined in Paraview, the rotating domain seems to be one frame behind the non-rotating part. I've attached a pic so you can see what I mean. Is this a common problem and if so is there a common solution? |

Hi,
Are you sure you are not looking at the velocities in different frames of reference? That is, velocity is measured against its local frame of reference so is discontinuous at frame of reference changes. The variable velocity in stationary frame is against the absolute frame so should look continuous. Glenn Horrocks |

Thanks for the reply Glenn. I like your thought, but unfortunately it's pressure I'm plotting and the following constant offset seems to have sorted it. I've done a workaround now; I've just rotated the entire stationary domain by 12° (filters->alphabetical->transform). It's not perfect, but I feel it's the CFD equivalent of a roll of bodge tape; it works!
