sgalway is on a distinguished road
Can anyone give some guidance on mid-level processor requirements? What is the component that will give me the most bang for my buck when purchasing a machine (memory, processor, video, etc.)? Can the CFX solver see dual processors?

Thanks in advance.

Buy the best quality CPU you can afford, with enough memory to run the jobs you want. Hard drives and graphics cards are not very important. CFX can use dual processors/multiple cores but you need to purchase additional parallel licenses.
