Pressurinzing a Tank

What is the best way to simulate pressurizing a tank?
Should I put 125 psi on the inlet and then how to specify what else happens (as there are no other conditions except inlet and openings)? I could put initially 14.7 psi on all the walls somehow? |

Assuming you are pressurising a closed tank then, yes, put the high pressure on the inlet and give it an initial condition of your starting pressure. Obviously it will need to be a transient simulation.
You do not define pressure on walls, that is not physically real. |

For Details of Global Initialisation:
Do I need to run some type of pre-analysis in the inlet to determine the Velocity Components? Transient analysis will not run without having some value other than 0 within U V & W so I put some placeholder value (100 m/s) to see the analysis process and still got no flow into the tank. I have not run a Transient analysis before and the details for setting all the option boxes are quite scarce under the help files. (Also I noticed that in true engineering fashion, I have mis spelled the title of the post ) |

CFX allows the initial condition to be 0m/s velocity. If the initial condition is zero velocity then put in 0m/s as the initial condition.
