Theory for periodic boundary condition

Dear members,

I am looking for Theory regarding periodic boundary condition in ANSYS CFX 11/12, I couldn't find it in documentation.
If anybody has some idea, it will be highly appreciated.

Please refer to basic book on the CFD.

A periodic boundary just has all flow variables mapped from one side of the periodic boundary to the equivalent place on the other side.

As Far says, any CFD textbook will have this.
