total force values

Hello,

I would like to know the values of the total force over a pile. When I use the expression force_x@PILE I obtain the values for one time step and I would like to know the total force for the entire simulation.

Thank you in advance

? The function returns the total force at that time step. What do you mean by total force for the entire simulation? Do you mean average force?

Sorry, I didn´t explained the issue very well.

At the end of the .out files, when a simulation has finished, CFX gives you the Pressure forces and viscous forces for x, y and z. Are these values the average forces for the whole simulation??
What I need is to compare drag and inertial forces (Morison equation) with forces obtained in the simulation in order to know the quality results.

Thank you in advance, your help is very appreciated

I have seen in the manuals Drag Force is calculated for the last timestep at the simulation adding Pressure Forces and viscous forces at "x" axis that appears in the .out file.
So, Cd could be calculated as a function of Drag Force, density, velocity and Area.
żIs that correct?

I would like to know if CFX show also the Inertial Forces that appears in the Morison Equation: Total force in "x" axis = Drag Forces + Inertial Forces in order to calculate Cm.

Thank you in advance
