2d cfd parallel plates

Hi,

I'm trying to do a model of 2d flow with ansys. The flow is between two parallel plates 0.05mm apart. I've generated the drawing in ansys, I've indicated that the flow is 2d in the work book and named the inflow, outflow and the two walls as symmetry 1 and 2, and then I generated the mesh. In the workbench I keep getting a message saying that I the mesh requires more data.

I'm not sure what to do. Any help on the next step would be appreciated.

Are you using CFX for the simulation? ANSYS now has Fluent and CFX. CFX cannot do 2D simulations, you need to extrude your geometry one element deep to get 3-D elements. I presume this is the information it is looking for.

Best Regards,
JDA
