Opening BC losses -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

zboud Member prout Join Date: May 2009 Posts: 32 Rep Power: 16	Hi, I'd like to know if there is a way to ask CFX to use the total speed instead of the normal speed to compute the losses when using the "opening" boundary condition. Mathematically, it's quite simple: just use $f \left( 1+\left( \frac{U_{t}}{U_{n}} \right) ^{2} \right)$ instead of for the loss coefficient. If there's no built-in solution, is it possible to use a function for the loss coefficient? Thanks.
