Definition of the theta function in CFX-PRE

1 Attachment(s)
Dear all,

In CFX-PRE the theta function is a discontinuous function because in the front of a rotor is defined from 0 to pi and from -pi to 0. The problem is that I want to define a theta function from 0 to 2*pi for overall the annulus (to define the angular position).
It may be possible to avoid the using of fortran routine, but it is quite complicate with respect to define a simple CEL expression.
Somebody can help me?

Kind regards

Domenico

This is easy using the new "if" CEL function.

Thank you a lot for your help. However I'd like to know which are you talking about because in ANSYS 11.0 the CEL function is not written in the manual so far and I do not have idea how to write the final expression.

I hope you can help me!!
If you are using CFX V11 then you won't have the if function. You will have to use the step function instead. It is messy, but it works.
