"Conjugate" Heat Transfer in CFX
Sorry if this question is too simple:
Does the "conjugate" means the heat transfer happens during the fluid flow? Can I use this "conjugate" do "pure" heat transfer problem with nothing about "Fluid Dynamic" things? Thanks Mona |
Conjugate heat transfer means that there is heat transfer in the fluid (ie the Navier Stokes eqns and energy equation is being solved) and it is interacting with a solid region where only the heat equation is being solved.
Yes, you can use CFX to solve for a pure heat transfer simulation. Just set the material type to solid. |
Hi Glenn,
Thank you very much for answering my question. Can I ask another question: How to mesh the 2D geometry (just a rectangular)? And how to import it to CFX-Pre? Please answer me and in a simple way! Thank you in advance. |
