"Conjugate" Heat Transfer in CFX

Sorry if this question is too simple:

Does the "conjugate" means the heat transfer happens during the fluid flow?
Can I use this "conjugate" do "pure" heat transfer problem with nothing about "Fluid Dynamic" things?

Thanks

Mona

Conjugate heat transfer means that there is heat transfer in the fluid (ie the Navier Stokes eqns and energy equation is being solved) and it is interacting with a solid region where only the heat equation is being solved.

Yes, you can use CFX to solve for a pure heat transfer simulation. Just set the material type to solid.

Hi Glenn,

Thank you very much for answering my question.

Can I ask another question:
How to mesh the 2D geometry (just a rectangular)? And how to import it to CFX-Pre?

Please answer me and in a simple way!

Thank you in advance.

This is the simplest answer I can give:
