Equations solved for multiphase

Hi,
I'm solving a multiphase simulation,
Liquid - Continuous
Gas - Dispersed
Particle model, with turbulence.
I had a basic question with regard to the equation solved (as mentioned in the Solver). It solves momentum ,continuity and turbulence (mass) for both phases individually. And there is an additional "p-vol" equation being solved, does this somehow relate to the volume fraction? Cos when i plot the p-vol variable at outlets (while solving), it plots the mass flow.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Luke

"p-vol" is the continuity equation. You do not solve the continuity equation at the phase level.

Thanks Glen,
What are the 2 mass phase equations (based on volume fractions) that are solved? At the boundarys, apart from the phase momentum, p-vol and phase turb variables, i see 2 phase mass variables. Are they no derived from the phase continuity?
Question might sound dumb, sorry, but i'm just thinking out loud.

Thanks
Luke
