Hi folks,
I am a design engineer currently learning the ropes of CFX, I have a problem to solve of a moving gate valve, we are looking for cavitation issues behind the gate during high speed movement.

I have set up the transient simulation using an immersed solid domain for the moving gate and specifying a linear motion of the gate as a function of time for the duration of the test.
The fluid domain where the gate moves is of a fine mesh (finer than the solid) and contains interfaces with the other fluid domains.

When I run the simulation I can see the solid moving but do not get any fluid movement or pressure changes.

I have also run the tutorials without issue.

Any suggestions would be great.

Some comments:
* You should use units in your CEL expressions. "rotrpm" should be entered in units of rpm and then the conversion to rad/s is done internally.
* I think your problem may be in using "atstep" is Disp. It should be written in terms of simulations time "t"
