how to set a thin layer of different material over a domain?

Hi there,

I've recently been introduced to ANSYS CFX and I have a little problem, didn't find solution on the documentation nor with the search tool of this forum.

I'm currently working on a thermal modeling of a projecteur,
the mesh is given to me (thus I have no access to the geometry).

My problem is that some domains (made of polycarbonate) have a coat, therefore I would like to set a layer which is componed of a different material.

Does someone has an idea please ?

I assume you are trying to include a thermal resistance for the thin coating. This is easily done in CFX V12 with the thin feature option with interfaces. In V11 it is much harder.

Thanks !

I'll try this out :)
