Cross Flow cooling system involving multiple fluids and a solid domain

Hello,

I am trying to perform a conjugate heat transfer analysis of a simple cross flow cooling system consisting of a single pipe carrying hot fluid. This pipe-fluid system is cooled by forced convection by air flowing over the pipe. I have gone through the tutorial on CHT of heating coil , but it contains a single fluid domain and a single solid domain. How can I model a CHT transfer such as the one that I described where 2 fluids seperated by a solid domain is involved?

Do I need to perform a multiphase analysis here, because CFX just allows me to define one fluid model for both fluid domains or is there a way I can specify seperate fluid models for the 2 fluid domains in my problem?

Any help in modelling this problem is appreciated?

Thank You
Ajay

This can be done without requiring multiphase. You have to use the "disallow constant domain physics" option or something like that - search the forum for it, there are a few posts on it.

Dear Ajay
I have exactly the same problem in modelling a heating device. have your problem solved?
I searched the forum for "disallow constant domain physics" but nothing exist.
Thanks
Ali
