mass flow unit change

I want to view massflow rate in the unit of kg/millisec in CFD-post. how can i do it? and
In pre i've given mass flow rate in kg/sec and i do a transient simulation for less than 1 second. now i want to know the total mass flow for the particular time period.

i am not quite sure if got you right, but total mass flow= rate*time so your given mass flow rate from pre is actually what youīre looking for.
Rate is rate, nomatter how long you calculate it. Just divide by 1000 and you end up with you kg/millisec.

Re

how can i change the unit showing in post?
even through custom mode i can change to kg/sec, kg/hr and kg/min but i can't able to change into kg/millisec..

hi,

1.create an expression like mymf=Fluid.Mass Flow
2.create an Variable mymf which is the expression mymf
AND here comes the trick
3.make a new variable which is a copy of mymf(variable) letīs say MassFlow
then rightclick over MassFlow --> edit in Command Editor and add a field like kg ms^-1 at the field User Unit.

I guess you could just do the second step (Frozen Copy of a Variable) since you probably already have something like Fluid.Mass Flow

Pls show me the screenshot of 3rd step if possible because i've not seen any user unit line there...
Pls ref the attached pic.

i donīt know what your expression mf is like. anyways.
but i actually discovered that cfx will change the units back to kg/s, so you will have to change to not showing the units in the legend and than insert a textbox telling the corresponding unit (e.g. [kg/ms]).
for my way was working,... so im not sure why it isnīt the case for you.
