Hi,

In CFX-Post, Is it possible to calculate the number of particles that crossed a particular outlet? If yes, I would like to know how to do that.

I used Eulerian-Lagrangian multiphase model.

Thanks, Kushagra

Can somebody solve the above problem.
I want to calculate number of particles that are going out from a particular outlet in a multiple outlet case

You should be able to check the total mass flow out of the outlet and multiply by the molar mass to get number of moles. Then convert, 1 mol = 6.02214179(30)x10^23 molecules.

If you know the mass flow rate, and in pre you must have defined the particles diameter. From this you should be able to calculate the number of particles.

Thanks for replying, puga and CCTech
I dont think this will work. Lagrangian particles tracking only considers representative number of particles as specified by the user. Amongst these number of particles, I want to calculate how many of them get out through a particular outlet.
I don't think it can be calculated from density/volume or moles
