Laminar Flow

1 Attachment(s)
Hi all ,

Do anyone has a tutorial on laminar flow .
I'm trying to simulate laminar steady state flow in rigid pipe - I have good results , but there is some velocity on the wall (that was defined as no-slip wall) .

Do anyone one what the problem may be ?

Thanks ,
Pavelko .

I seem to remember answering this question before. There is no error with the implementation of no slip walls in CFX. The problem is that your wall point is either not exactly on the wall or has included the control volume adjacent to the wall and is therefore not zero.

Just to be sure that my approach is right :
-----------------------------------------
Geometry - I've created the cylinder , defined it as a fluid , meshed it , and set up the outer radius of cylinder as a wall .
Is it right ?

Your approach is correct. The problem is in your post processing, not the simulation.

Thank you very much ! Those are good news for me :)
