how to see the time that the particle stays in the fluid region of the cfx-post?

how to see the time that the particle stays in the fluid region of the cfx-post?Is it correct to use the streamline when selecting the time as the color mode variable option ?Or I should insert the particle track and select the particle time or particle travelling time as the color mode variable option ?
Is there any difference?

you can do some simple problem to clarify your doubts

can you give me an example?

Thank you ,but can you give me an example?

actually when you plot the time on streamline option it won't consider the mass of the particle(zero mass particles).to get the actual residence time you should get it from the particle track time option here the buoyancy effect will affect the residence time. you can do some simple duct problem and by animating in post you feel the difference.
