stefank is on a distinguished road
Hi everybody,
Iím very new in CFX and Iím trying to simulate the flow in a multi-disk clutch, in particular the flow between two blades.
Geometry I created with ProE and DesignModeler is quite simple as you can see on the following images. I already create the fluid geometry with a Boolean Operation.
When I try to simulate the flow I donít exactly know how to implement the conditions. The inner part shall rotate at an angular velocity of 2000 per minute. Other parts should be at standstill for the first try.
As you can see on the second pic (fluid geometry) there are six points on the one side where fluid should enter die geometry and six points on the other side where it should exit.
I tried to implement this by defining three different domains, the outside part as stationary solid, the fluid as fluid domain and the inner part as rotating solid. Inlet and outlet are defined on the faces mentioned above. Do I need domain interfaces? If yes, how do I have to implement? (I always get errors if I use them, without the solver is solving kind of nonsense, but after all it solves something.)

I think I make a basic mistake anywhere and unfortunately I donít know where. I would be glad if somebody could help me.

Apart from that am I right to do this in CFX-pre or should I better use the turbo tool?
