Premixed combustion in porous media

Hello,

i'm trying to simulate the premixed combustion of methane in a porous burner which has an inlet of ~3cm and an outlet of ~20cm. Ahead of the outlet there are a flame trap and the combustion zone.

I had good results and convergence using Sheer Stress Model for Turbulence for cold flows, bad using the k-epsilon model.

Maybe you have some tips (or where to find them) for modeling the combustion (e.g. which could be best model and how to adopt it best) since i've tried a lot different models (eddy dissipation, combined with finite rate chemistry, bvm).

Either the calculations converged only to e-3 to e-4 or the residuals increased again after some 200 iterations. Surely i can give more information if needed.

Thank you.

Best konrad

hey konrad,
i was wondering, have you solved your issues with this topic?
