Hello everyone,
I'm planning to do a 2D analysis to predict the performance of EGR Cooler (Single pass - shell and tube heat exchanger without baffle). I suppose that CFX accepts model of 0.1mm thick or a row of single mesh element across its thickness. The model is symmetrical. Hence i have the CAD model of symmetrical section i.e. 0.1 mm thick and i was trying to extract the fluid volume. But i'm not sure how a 2D analysis can be performed. Any best practice guideline or expert ideas is highly appreciated. Checked CFX manuals....However i couldn't get the desired fluid volume so that i can mesh and setup the physics in CFX-Pre. Moreover the manual says that axisymmetric models need the radial boundary condition of 5 to 20 degrees of rotation. How can i do it ? Is the manual referring to MRF ? Please do the needful at the earliest Regards Venkat |
