hi i was wondering if anyone could help me.
i'm busy with an analysis for gas cooling uptakes of a furnace. Im struggling to get the analysis to run, ive created 3 domainds one for the water & another for the steel & another for the gas. ive also inserted all my interfaces between the surfaces. but it does not want to solve, it gives me the error "ERROR #001100279 has occured in subrutine ErrAction MESSAGE : >Floating point exeption : Overflow. can someone please advise me on wat to check/change. If anymore information is required just let me know i'll be more then willing to put up some screen shots or watever is needed... regards julian |

Your simulation has diverged. You need to improve the numerical stability. Try to fix any boundary or physics problems, smaller time steps, tighter convergence, better mesh quality.

hi i did end up changing the mesh to a higher quality. But now it gives me the error:
| ERROR #002100012 has occurred in subroutine cVolSec. | | Message: | | A negative ELEMENT volume has been detected. This is a fatal | | error and execution will be terminated. The location of the first | | negative volume is reported below. | | Volume : -0.1104E-10 | | Location : ( -0.48073E+00, -0.44146E+00, 0.57380E+00) please advise? thanks |

CFX assembles control volumes from your mesh. Some of these volumes are negative. The mesh quality is still too bad.
In order to find the region load the def-file into post, generate a point and copy the given location to the coordinates. It will show you where the negative volume is. Go back to meshing and improve it there.
