Hello Guys!

I am having a quite weird problem in my Ansys CFX simulation and I haven't got any help from ansys support to solve this. Everytime I try to restart a simulation form a previous either .bak file or .res file, I got a data read error. I also try to open the backup files in CFX-post and get the same data read error, so it seems to me that the solver is not saving all the datas in final files.

In my particular case, I am calculating mixing times in large scale tanks, so my simulations take really long and whenever the simulation stops I can't restart it because I get this errors, so I lose all the time I had simulated.

Here is a "copy-paste" of the error written in the .out file:

The first error is complaining about gunzip. Have you run out of disk space? Is gunzip installed properly on your machine? I would check gunzip is functioning correctly.

No. The error says the error is associated with gunzip so make sure the gunzip function is correct. This should be installed as part of the CFX installation so you might have a dodgy install of CFX.
