pressure transient term?

can someone explain the pressure transient term to me (which can be checked when thermal energy model is selected)? or give me a link? i searched for some info but didnt find an explanation. also the ansys documentary which normally has everything i need didnt provide a description.

i am trying to simulate oil flow through bearings. I am using the SST model (ansys cfx 13). But i dont know if i need the pressure transient term or not.

thanks!

I would also like to know about this term.

Couldn't find any option to check it on/off, though. Where would that be exactly?

In CFX-Pre...

Set Analysis Mode to transient.
In the Fluid-Models Tab of a Domain -> Set Heat Transfer to Thermal Energy -> Then it should appear directly under this option.

What's strange is when you turn the pressure transient term on a new box appears where you can turn it on again. Does that make sense?!

Using Ansys 13.0...

Just noticed with pressure transient term on (both options on), my system pressure is almost the same but the temperature-change in the system changes significantly.
