Hello. I need to determine physical dimensions of blood flow in abdominal aorta. Can you tell me how to insert profile velocity in function of time as inlet boundary? I attached velocity function of time.

A user function with a 1D interpolation will do it easily.

Dear friend

I am also doing the same problem .
I want to know how did you get the graph?
what function did you use to get the graph?
I also need this answer. please give your answer if you find.

Thank you

Govind

My professor is working with vascular problems. He measured blood velocity in coronal arthery. I adjusted his values for my problem.

Dear milasko

How your professor got the values .what function did he use for getting number of values.
if he uses any function like sin or cos please let me know.I need it urgently. I assume that without a function cannot get number values . am I right?
what equation did he use to plot the graph?

Thank you

kmgraju

I think that he performed examing on the pacient.I didn`t ask.The reason is that he is not at my department, I took exam because I earlier worked in FLUENT some simple cases.

I fill out csv file format for profile boundary condition. when I try to initialise profile data I receive error "Invalid data heading seen in profil `ulaz` at line 8. Between 1 and 3 spatial field names must be specified." Can you tell me what is wrong? I attached picture of profile boundary condition.

"Between 1 and 3 spatial field names must be specified."

You specify X,Y,Z,t == 4 "spatial" fields. If you want to include time you must remove one of the spatial fields.

Ok.I understand. I didn`t know that I can`t specify more than 3 fields.Thanks a lot.

I realise this is a few months old, but was wondering about something similar, I've looked through the website that was suggested and wondered what the spacial fields actually represent? At the moment I just have time and velocity

Spatial fields have function to identify nodes positions to which you have dedicate velocity

That makes sense and is what I suspected anyway, but when I run my simulation it seems to not let me view more than one time-step, I only have 0, though the function file I made says it should last 1 second, do you know how I'd fix this so I could view it at different points within my 1 second?

Take a look on 5th post. You would notice that you need to set different time value for other steps

I had done that before, what I'm asking is if there is a way to view the fluid at say the first time-frame and the last, similar to the example in the 5th post? I can't find this...

you need to perform calculation and after that using CFD-Post you can see fluid velocities
